At 105...??? I need to see this.
Turkey only really has Ismayilov left. Azerbaijan seems empty so maybe only Kostova? If she can come back to her 2015 numbers it'd be the nail in the IWF "anti-doping" coffin.
Kostova is totally clean. Dont be hatin'...

He wants a weightlifting equivalent of the untested powerlifting federations. It will never happen, as winning there wont matter in terms of geo-politics surrounding the Olympics.

So please bear in mind the IWF Independent Panel here is:
(a) Independent
(b) Has a specific remit according to the ruling against each nation.
That remit isn't necessarily to investigate any doping issues during the period, but is limited to the specific terms of that particular ban. It does not mean a SEPARATE investigation is not occurring into, for example, Armenia.

Ahhhhhh ......I feel pro fed would fail. I would like to see one so weightlifters could make money, but powerlifting kinda shows us the value people put on pro federations.

Interesting article in today's (June 13, 2018) New York Times titled "U.S. Legislators Seek to Criminalize Drug Use in International Events."
Opening paragraph reads:
"Unites States lawmakers took a step on Tuesday toward criminalizing doping in international sports, introducing a bill in the House that will attach prison time to the use, manufacturing or distribution of performance-enhancing drugs in global competitions."
Further down includes:
"Nations including Germany, France, Italy, Kenya, and Spain have established criminal penalties for sports doping perpetrated within their borders. Russia, too, passed a law in 2017 that made it a crime to assist or coerce doping, though no known charges have been brought under that law to date."
Testing isn't the only tool for dealing with doping.

Bad idea. In the US, PL was a decently profitable sport until drug testing caused a break between USPF and ADFPA.

As a staunch anti-doper, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this. Personally I think steroids and other PEDs should be legal for recreational use.
