Maneza got 2 years after being positive for both quads.

So basically same thing. Its the lifters that it was their 2nd oositive that got huge bans like the 75 who used to be married to Ilya and Sedov.

Not surprised. By the WADA Code, you can't treat them as separate violations unless the athlete was informed of the first one before they committed the second, and standard sanction for a first offense in 2012 was 2 years, and the sanctioning body is able to roll back the start date of the suspension if there are significant delays in the process not attributable to the athlete. Only thing I don't get is why they're able to keep their results obtained after the sample was given (i.e. why does Ilya still have his 105 records set in 2015).

Looks like absolute hell, but if the IWF tried to drop the hammer on them above and beyond what the Code says, they would have had a tough time making it stick.

So much for getting serious about drug use. Nobody is actually in danger in regards to 2020 Olympics.

Everyone who got a 2nd sanction got 8 years. PODOBEDOVA, UTESHOV (currently under sanction until 2019), IOVU (this will be 2nd), Sedov (this will be his 2nd), Lapikov (will be 2nd), Nurcan, (will be 2nd), and SHAINOVA, (will be 2nd). See ya in 8 years.

Right and even if you're eligible to compete in 2020, it's unlikely you'll be able to qualify for the OG, given the new rules that are coming.
