BOZAN Ahmet (m) TUR 15.11.2018 15.11.2022 OOC Clenbuterol

Either I'm blind or there was no disclosure for this lifter. He wasn't a minor either. #strange
This would also imply Turkey is at 1/3 sanctions for the Tokyo period. He's actually the first confirmed ban since the Olympic qualification began on November 1st.

It will be interesting to see how this shakes out for Nurudinov. Vacate all results 2012-2016?

When anti-doping infractions are discovered long after the fact, the version of the WADA code that was in place at the time of the offence is used to determine the sanction.

Since the sample was taken in 2012 and is his first(?) failed test, I would expect all results in the two years following the failed test to be vacated (but results outside that window will stand).

There hasn't been any record of doping offenses on behalf of Latvia I think. 13 positive in all their sports?! Latvia doesn't even have 2 million people! That would be like 13 positives in Sacramento athletes

    Weightlifting is so fucked.
At first, the powerhouse countries were causing all the trouble because they were had so many lifters in the pool.

Now it seems the testing has ratcheted up, and catching all these these single lifters from no-name countries....they don't give a fuck because they'll never have 10 sanctions in a quad and/or not sending anyone to a world contest/Olympics anyway...so what the fuck do they care?

Problem is there's a hundred of those countries out there.

    RIP weightlifting
