    Rumbler Powerlifting?

    Well, I have an athlete who can't compete in Weightlifting anymore due to injury, so she made the switch to Powerlifting. Had a successful debut yesterday breaking the NH state record squat, as well as tying the DL record. We could've gone ligher on the third attempt deadlift to get the record, but I wanted the total record too, hence the decision to go 170. She almost had it too. It was pretty funny everyone was giving us crazy looks when she started lifting without a belt. It's interesting the different dogmas that pervade both Powerlifting and Weightlifting. No surprise that a former Weightlifting is a strong squatter and puller but struggles on bench. I'm looking forward to the next one, and she's only 2.5kg off from the nationals QT.

    Huh. I missed this. Good job. And yeah, the transition from weightlifting to powerlifting is an easy one, not so the other way around. And i have always gotten a lot ov grief for training powerlifters like weightlifters. I will literally get other coaches approaching my lifters and telling them i'm/they're doing it wrong. Yet... we win. Hmmm...

    Get that lifter doing a lot ov bodybuilding and put some upper body mass on her. That'll build that bench up. Dont feel so left behind either... most powerlifters have a shit bench too.

    Working on it, but she just suffered a concussion so she's out for a bit!

    Well the concussion didn't seem to slow her down much
