Thread: 2017 Goals Thread

  1. #11
Somewhat new, definitely a novice, but written commitments are good. . . . and keep laughter to a minimum please. Immediate goals = 175 qualifying total for master's nationals (77kg 45 y.o. male). I'm now only a few kg off, but only have 18 days in which to do this so might make it a need-to-hit by end of Feb-2017 goal.

By FYE 2017, a >200kg total (I could be a nationally competitive 58kg female, yay):

    C&J ~115
    Snatch ~90
    BS >165
    FS >135

Got to post up the previous threads too! I see some people crushed their previous goals.

I'm 30. Also for a while I was making sure to eat healthier, and not letting my weight get much over 78s. The past month I've been eating closer to normal and not worrying so much about the amounts or eating a little unhealthier, and have gotten to around 81ish. I feel like my body naturally will rest around 80ish, so likely I'll stick with 77 if I can gain enough strength there.

Awesome, thanks for posting those! Good to know I at least hit my 2015 goals for snatch and clean & jerk and was close on both squats. Not quite to my 2016 numbers yet but still working on that.

You just had to post those, didn't you? Good news is, I accomplished most of my 2015 goals. The bad news is that it took me two years to do it. The more bad news is I literally didn't accomplish a single thing on that fucking 2016 list. That was kind of a suck year for me, physically though. #heartproblems.
