300 lb was a lifetime goal so this was quite a day. This is +5 kg on the American Masters record, +1 kg on the Pan Am record. I'll be looking to get some videos from the front to check my elbows and help figure out what is leading to the twisting movement.

My right knee, adductor, ankle, and shoulder were all bothering me (mainly the knee, though). To feel like this after a deload week made me think that I needed to take it easy and rest everything. I noticed some asymmetric movement when I lowered my squats down in the morning. Maybe flaring out my right knee more or something - will have to monitor. I'm guessing this also is what causes some of the twisting on maximal snatches.

The day had been pretty stressful, and I couldn't sleep Monday night so I knew that my snatch technique would have to be spot on because I likely wasn't long on power. I focused very hard on this and am very happy with the snatch workout for the day. I've never been much of a technician at any sport, preferring to just apply maximum power/force to the situation and hope for the best, but it too important in weightlifting. Still have a long way to go.

-Good news is that my cleans have been feeling great. I had always thought that my right arm was the liability on jerks since that shoulder sometimes hurts, but I think that the pain might be a result of that arm locking out and my left arm unlocking occasionally. Need to figure this out.
