    VLog | First workout in the backyard | Am workout

    These were my first workout I did in the backyard. I hit some front squats and did some pulls. Having this set up in my backyard will be a valuable tool to have. This is the first workout of the day. I had a workout later that day.

    This is the second workout on this particular day where I did some work from the hang with the snatch and the clean. I did some power jerks as well, but the focus was on the work from the hang.

    Bowling Green Trip Highlights

    This is some training from the last couple of days when I was at a baseball tournament in Bowling Green, Ohio. I also am putting this on Instagram's new IGTV as well. I'm curious to see how that all works. I'll continue to upload like normal on here, but I will probably put uploads on there as well.

    1 year Progress on Snatch and Clean and jerks | 135 lbs / 61 kgs combined total

    First snatch performed on 6/16/2017. Current PR performed on 6/15/18.

    First clean and jerk performed on 6/8/2017. Current PR performed on 6/16/2018.

    My snatch improved from 185 lbs / 84 kgs to 240 lbs / 109 kgs.

    My clean and jerk improved from 245 lbs / 111 kgs to 325 lbs / 145 kgs.

    My snatch improved by 55 lbs / 25 kgs. My clean and jerk improved by 80 lbs / 36 kgs.

    Training PRs on the snatch, clean and jerk, and total

    6/25/18

    My max work went really great today. 250 lb/114 kgs snatch and a 330 lbs/150 kgs clean and jerk. 10 lb snatch PR, a 5 lb clean and jerk PR. 13 lbs / 6 kg total training PR.

    Pulling heavy and bench work

    I tried going heavy today with my pulls. My best pull in weightlifting shoes is only 565 lbs, so I’m happy with how 555 lbs moved. I don’t think I’m strong enough to do 605 lbs yet, but it was also a bad rep mechanically. My best deadlift is still 605 lbs all belted up and in flats. No idea what my best beltless deadlift is, but I’m guessing this is it. I think I hit a very good strength cycle of training and it will be a good time for me to drop back down to do more rep work. I want to keep pushing the pedal to see if I can hit more PRs since everything has been feeling great. But it’s better to take my wins now and build back up before I overreach.

    Squats yesterday were killers. I didn't split up my workout into two parts, so doing everything together in one session made things more difficult as well.

    Double workout day with snatch pressing and rack jerks

    On this day, I did two workouts where I did my snatch focused work in the morning and my rack jerk work in the afternoon. A tough day, but a very productive one.
