    Heavy back squats after light weightlifting work

    I hit a very good top set of 5 today after doing some lighter weightlifting work. This is one of my best sets of 5.



    Push pressing and snatch pulling

    I had a decent day in today. My back was a bit tight to start, but it felt good once I got moving. On my working on sets for push presses, I did a couple of overhead press reps. After my main work, I did some biceps, triceps, and quad accessory work. Nothing crazy. An overall productive day of lifting.

    255 lb / 116 kg - Snatch
    335 lb / 152 kg - Clean and jerk
    590 lb / 267.6 kg - Total

    This Friday training session went extremely well. I matched my best snatch. I didn't like missing 225 lb when I was warming up. It wasn't a bad lift. The rest of my lifts went really well. On my new clean and jerk PR, my elbows touched my knees on the clean, which would have made it not count in competition. But I'm still very happy with the lift and with my training on this day. Hopefully, I can keep progressing.
