I do think there is some differences when it comes to "memberships" because it's a club. Like Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, etc...I could be wrong though.

History is important bro. Also, it's closely tied with sport. While not totally relevant to the original thread, it is nice to discuss something other than steroids for a while.

By 1945, nearly a third of the truck strength of the Red Army was U.S.-built (best in the war -Studebaker & Dodge trucks). All provided under the Lend Lease program.

Then take out the Normandy invasion (the second front) and the idea that Russia could not have steam rolled a jelly blubber is more like it.

    So there....
Yes, FDR was trying desperately to get America into war and lend-lease was just part of it. Soviet defeat of Nazi Germany is inevitable.

And lastly, our elected officials never took an isolationist stand. The American people never took an isolationist stand. What happened was a combination of somebody dropping the and nobody giving a crap about some country that most could not locate on a map and an organization that nobody understood.

The fact is that Al-Aqaeda attacked US assets on US soil and elsewhere around the world for a whole 8 years before 911 while the Clinton administration did nothing....oops sorry clinton posted a reward. As time went by Al-Aqueda became more emboldened, better trained, organised and more experienced in the difficult art of killing thousands of Americans in one hit. If the Clinton administration had of reacted appropriately to this ongoing threat the likelihood is that 911 might have been prevented. I mean airport/airline security was not stepped up even after the Bojinka Plot (plot to blow up 11 US airliners)) was foiled. Look at the history of attacks and attempted attacks below:

December 29, 1992, the first attack by Al-Qaeda was carried out in Aden, Yemen known as the 1992 Yemen Hotel Bombings. That evening, a bomb went off at the Gold Mohur hotel, where U.S. troops had been staying while en route to Somalia, though the troops had already left when the bomb exploded. The bombers targeted a second hotel, the Aden Movenpick, where they believed American troops might also be staying. That bomb detonated prematurely in the hotel car park, around the same time as the other bomb explosion, killing an Austrian tourist and a Yemeni citizen. Bin Laden claimed responsible for the attack.

    January 20, 1993 - Clinton sworn in

February 26, 1993, the World Trade Center was bombed for the first time. The blast killed six people and injured 1,500 others.[5] The attack was not an official al-Qaeda operation though the attack's mastermind Ramzi Yousef trained in al-Qaeda camps and Al-Aqaeda provided funds in the attack.

6-7 January, 1995 (foiled) Al Qaeda planned Bojinka Plot in the Philippines involved bombing up 11 airliners travelling to the USA (execution date 15-22 January, 1995).

August 1998, Al-Qaeda operatives carried out the bombings of the U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, killing more than 200 people and injuring more than 5,000 others.

January 3, 2000 Al-Qaeda planned to attack the USS The Sullivans, but the effort failed due to too much weight being put on the small boat meant to bomb the ship.

October 2000 Al-Qaeda succeeded in bombing a U.S. Navy warship the USS Cole bombing, killing 17 sailors.

January 20, 2001 - President Bush sworn in.

    September 11, 2001

But hang on thats right Clinton did post a reward....

In fact the "elected officials" you refer to should have been criminally charged with negligence causing death in their failure to act.

And that is without mentioning Clintons late & limited (occurred after international condemnation) action in Bosnia or failure to act at all in Rwanda which saw the genocide of of almost one million people (Clinton description of that was "I blew it").

Finally, Clintons $4 Billion gift to North Korea in return for their promise to not build nuclear weapons you would have to agree didn't work out at all. His failure to act laid the foundations for where the USA is today with North Korea.

Oh yeah Bill Clinton could have killed Bin Laden in 1998 but refused to give the order as 300 innocent men women and children would have been killed. Better for 3000 US innocent men women and children to be killed?

That a lot of fact, but how is it isolationist? What was Clinton's political motivation for all those actions or inaction that he took?

This. You're cherry picking either no action.or bad decisions in particular.events and labelling them isolationist and the cause of specific outcomes, when a lot of these things were already set in motion.

I live in Atlanta, this guy is a known turd. Trust fund baby living in the most Bougie part of town and a self-proclaimed Marxist. Apparently likes to partake in domestic violence and antagonizing cops for no reason at public events: https://www.reddit.com/r/Atlanta/com...armers_market/

This comment basically sums up public opinion about the guy: https://www.reddit.com/r/Atlanta/com...arket/d6d82zz/

Probably better to have a discussion about prominent historical events, than to continue to give exposure to a cop hating extremist.
