There are a number of websites that let you download youtube content for off-line viewing: http://keepvid.com/

They're not regular videos (e.g. mp4 container) where you essentially have access to a full file, but only chunks are buffered with normal streaming. The IOC here for whatever dumb reason used proprietary encryption & DRM tech by Adobe. As such they cannot be downloaded in the usual manner.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protected_Streaming

They also have embedding forbidden, so you may as well post just links.

Edit: Plus I don't understand why they don't put up the B sessions as well. They clearly have HD footage that was on BBC back then. It's not like they lose whatever monetary gain from broadcasting rights, nobody except dedicated WL nerds even cares for those transmissions.

Anyone know any work arounds? The only thing I can think of is doing a screen capture, but that would be time consuming, and it wouldn't be great quality. Regarding the embedding...youtube links autoembed here, so not much to do about that.

screen capture is pure shit at best..
I would love official DVD from London (with actual sport events, not just highlights and ceremonies).. but it seems there isn't any.

Ya, I e-mailed them last year about purchasing a DVD, but they never responded.

Yes, it's possible to fetch them in proper quality. However you need to be a bit savvy about it and it's not super reliable.

    This thread/post helps:

During playpack in your browser you need to lookup the playlist file (.m3u8) through the console (or its equivalent outside of firefox) and then use this URL as the input for the command line video tool ffmpeg.
