I had to take off last week due to a lot of circumstances. Hopefully back on a normal training cycle now.

I felt rested and refreshed today, but also stiff. I couldn't loosen or warm up. Very frustrating.

    Snatch:
A very frustrating session. I was stiff and awkward. Pulls felt solid, but pulling under didn't, and catches were soft. I got the bar where it needed to be every time, but couldn't hold it. Felt very weak up top.

    Bench Press:
About the same. Just felt weak. I barely got 8, when I should've been able to get 10+.

Today was a long hard day in the sun and sweating. I was tired and dried out when it came time to train.

    Clean&Jerk:
Pretty pittifull from a technical standpoint. Pulls were slow and jerky. No pull under. Catches were forward and soft. All but the last jerk we're pretty good. Jerks were the only bright spot.

    Back Squats:
Very hard and slow grinders. I had to stop my last set because my belt wasn't set tight. I tightened it and finished up. Back off sets were exhausting to the point that I cancelled my planned 10x5 and did a 5x5

Another long hot day and a late training session.

    Snatch:
Awkward and ugly. Pulls were decent enough, but I didn't have any pull under, again. Catches were also sloppy and weak, again.

    Press:
Not too bad. I had hoped for 7 or 8 reps the first set, but barely ground out 6. I finished strong with a second set of 4, so I'm somewhat pleased.

Another long day to end a log week. I was tired and unmotivated going in, and it showed.

    Clean&Jerk:
Very uncooridnated with my timing in the pulls and catches. I was slow getting my elbows around in almost every clean, and that is why I missed the reps I missed. As I got more tired, it got worse.

    Deadlift:
Not great either. Very weak all around. Warm-ups felt heavy. I could barely move the working set. It didn't help that the bar kept sticking to my thighs due to the humidity.

    Snatch:
I'm very pleased with how these went. Especially considering I do almost exclusively singles. I didn't think I would get anywhere near this much weight for a double. Everything was fairly smooth.

    Bench Press:
Not quite as good as the snatches, but decent. I managed to get 10 total reps at my heaviest weight.

I dropped the 10x5 barbell assistance and started doing some light machine work, which is easier on the joints.

    Clean &Jerk:
Neither cleans nor catches were great. Jerks were acceptable. This was the most I had in me doing double cleans and a jerk. I wasn't sure what to expect, so this is just sort of a starting point.

    Back Squat:
My legs were shot. Squatting has been harder than ever lately, and today was the worst. I just didn't have anything to give. I'm going to have to do something about my poor squat strength.

I decided to start my linear progression squats today. I won't have time tomorrow. I'll continue them on Monday.

    Back Squats:
Technically good. Not too hard, but not as easy as I thought, given how light I started. My legs are very weak right now. It's going to be a long hard road. I needed more rest between sets than I anticipated.

    Snatch:
Rough after squats, which is why I originally started squatting less and less. My legs were fried and I was useless during these.

I had a mini-vacation this weekend and over indulged quite a bit. I'm feeling pretty bloated and sluggish today.

Warm-ups took a very long time. I had a lot of little aches and pains and stiffness, espcecially the hips

    Back Squat:
Pretty good. Nowhere near the shock to the system they were on Thursday.

    Snatch:
Legs weren't as worn out today as they were Thursday, so things were better from a technical standpoint. Still not as solid as if I were doing them first when I'm fresh, but I was pleasantly surprise to get these reps.

Pretty solid, but I had hoped for 1 more rep the first set at 130. I decided to start my 5/3/1 cycle over again, so I hoped to be able to add a rep over last time I ran this weight, but it wasn't happening. Oh well. Still a good session.

I did some light curls for accessory work.

Today was a long day of brutally hard work outdoors. I was exhausted and dehydrated all day, and it didn't get better during training. I couldn't get hydrated and stay that way. It was not ideal. I just tried to finish this so I could hopefully have a decent session Friday.

    Back Squat:
Extremely hard. I was just overall worn out and exhausted. I barely managed these.

    Clean&Jerk:
These weren't any better. My legs were dead and I didn't push them very hard. I was actually relieved to get this much with the way I was feeling.
