New jerk technique is interesting. Looks like a push press almost, but none of his jerks looked that hard.
"PushJerk" boy-o. Very shallow and quick push under. He was PJing deeper awhile back where his torso would get more diagonal vs being as stacked.

clean or jerk? that's weird. I thought he usually opens in the 40s.
Opened at 33 at the IWF cup in Iran and missed 45 twice. Missed 1st two Sn at 117. No idea why.

Used to. Opened at 143 and ended up missing and making 148 at 2017 AO. Opened at 40 and missed it and 42 before making 42 at 2017 Nationals. Started to look like his old form.

Bombed at 150 at 2016 Nationals though he was pushing hard I guess for the meet of his life to maybe make it to PanAms and Rio. Opened at 41 missing then making it before missing 48 at 2016 AO.

Opened at 47 at 2015 Worlds, missed it twice and finally made it. Bombed at 45 at IWF GrandPrix in 2015.

His hard cut probably doesn't help but he's no spring chicken anymore either. 33 this year and 31 in 2016 when things started to trend to a decline.

Yeah then Pan Am Federation doesn't really seem to have their shit together.

Anyone catch where Sasser and Rogers finished? I saw Sasser jerk 120 and miss 124, don't know what she snatched. I know Rogers snatched 99, don't know what she jerked...

130 CJ, failed 136 on third for gold medal attempt I think. She swept the silvers.

Sasser finished at 95kg snatch and 120kg clean & jerk. Openers were 91kg and 115kg. Missed 98kg and 124kg on 3rd attempts. Placed 7th in both lifts and total. 63s were stacked, so many made lifts especially in the snatch.

Mattie got 2 reds on her opener at 99kg, made it on her 2nd, and missed 103kg on her 3rd. Made 126kg on her opener, made 130kg on 2nd, missed clean at 136kg trying to take gold on 3rd.

I thought the judges were being a little strict with Cantrell's opening attempt. I saw just as much wobble from other lifters earlier in the session that weren't even given one red. The following attempt had the same amount of wobble and he got three whites.

Edit: His second attempt was the exact same lift but he got three whites.
