    HIIT with oly movements

The obesity caused a specific injury at lumbar region: when I walk more than ~6000 steps, some kind of lumbar pain emerges. At the left side.

Believe it or not snatch, as well as clean & jerk does not causes any problems!

To give joints some rest, I usually pratice strength at one day and cardio the day after. And the cycle repeats at strength + cardio at each two days.

Because of my specific problem, I am using a horizontal ergometric bicycle for cardio sessions. But, I reached a conditioning point that the bicycle maximum resistance level was reached (considering a "normal" speed ~20-25 km/h or 12-15 mph).

To proceed with my cardio sessions, I was thinking about HIIT using a no-jump snatch with a very light load. Do you guys already studied something related, i.e., using oly movements for High Intensity Interval Training?

Sure, you could use 50% and do power snatches/cleans for 5 or 6 reps. Start at 120 second rest, and decrease by 10 seconds each time.

I think WLing is very HIIT-ish in its nature when going for reps. Go for it!

    yeah ^

certain emom schemes are a bitch after about 5-7 reps.

Nothing too technical. In my opinion, clean-n-jerk@~80%x1 x 15-20emom is pretty brutal
