Om will easily qualify at 61, but then not medal.

305 might bronze at 61 if Om puts 134&171 together, especially if he packs in some bulgogi and rice and kimchee at a higher BW with no cutting.

I'm not sure if Belarus would send LAPTSEU Henadz because he isn't likely to Podium and they have limited spots. Om is 9th considering China can only send 1 which means he goes at top8 if Laptseu doesn't go or he is the highest ranked 61 in Asia and qualifies. He just needs to compete once more.

Curiously the results from the 2019 Qatar Cup still haven't been added to the IWF T2020 qualifying database - even though the competition was two months ago, and results from competitions held since then have been added e.g. the 2020 Roma World Cup.

I haven't read anything about the event losing its status as an IWF qualifying event. Very strange.

Seems to be up now. Eg if you go to Ilya's numbers they are now included. Maybe the IWF person responsible reads WL forums!!!!

I've done some more careful investigation and it appears that results from the Qatar Grand Prix are missing from the T2020 qualifying database for the following classes: M109+, W87+

If somebody from the IWF is reading this then please fix the database.

Curious though, the vast majority of lifters and countries managed the process just fine.

I fail to become sympathetic towards their frankly arrogant and/or lazy approach. There was plenty of time to plan ahead and enter a second or third meet in each period. Other people had no issue seizing the dozens of opportunities.
Rostami especially e.g. is not too poor to fly around the world two more times.
    I agree.
