A decent session after a long hard day. Decent bar speed and while I perceived them as slow and awkward, they looked fast and smooth on video. I'm happy with these.

Things started off rough and stayed that way for the most part. My main problem was my footwork. For some reason my feet splayed out and turned out and landed funny on almost every rep. I kept having to rotate them back in line to stand up. Everything else felt solid. Smooth pulls and things felt good overhead. I just couldn't get my footwork correct. Ultimately it only cost me 1 miss, but it should've cost me all of them.

I also decided to try adding a small amount of ab work every day for overall increased volume throughout the week. We'll see how that goes.

I felt good coming into these, but that didn't last. My legs and back tried to check out during warm-ups and every rep was a slow grinder. I had to take a lot of time between attempts for my legs to recover. I honestly didn't think I'd get the last couple.

I had an absolutely brutal and exhausting day today. My back is fried. The holiday weekend started off heavy and hard. I did not feel like training tonight, and sort of wish I hadn't. These were ugly and got uglier. I made them all, but it was not a good session.

My back was even more sore than last night. I took all of these reps very slowly, so as to not aggravate and anger my back, and things went decently enough.

Today was the end of a very long and hard holiday weekend at work. My back is absolutely spent. These started slow, and got slower. I wasn't sure I would get all of these, but I'm happy I did.

    Now, de-load week.

I took a de-load week from Monday May 25 through Sunday May 31.

I did absolutely nothing that week except for some cardio on Thursday.

    Weight: 169.4

    Snatch
    95-1x2
    115x1
    125x1
    135x1
    145x1
    155x1
    160x1

I had a good de-load week and expected to feel good today, but I had a late night, an early morning, very little sleep, and I had to do a lot of unexpected yard work and shoveling today at the house. By the time I got to train tonight, I felt pretty beat down.

Snatches went as well as could be expected given the circumstances. I had hoped to get a heavier max single, but I knew this was all I had in me tonight. I'm happy enough with it, but I know that given better conditions, I've got a bit more in the tank.
