I had some shoulder pain today. It felt fine all day, until I started training. I think I strained something in one of my failed jerk attempts yesterday. I felt a mild little twitch yesterday, but thought nothing of it. I decided to do what I could, and managed to make it through. Paused the first rep, then just did a light touch and go for the rest. Pain actually faded as I went and felt better by the end.

It was a long hard day today, and I have a slight pinch in my neck/trap area. I procrastinated as long as possible when I got home because I didn't want to train.

    Back Squats:
The legs felt pretty good coming in, but they ran out of gas quickly. I think it was the right move to cut accessory work on Wednesday, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get any work in. By the end these were all slow grinders.

    Deadlift:
The combination of my tires legs and my stiff neck really beat me down here. I needed a lot of time between attempts to make it through.

    Lat pulldowns: 5 plates -x25, 4 plates -x25

Despite my best efforts, I did not feel ready to train today. Every body part was weak and I was run down. I feel terrible, like I didn't recover at all this weekend. Got pretty weak and shaky in the middle of this. Not sure why. Suddenly everything was harder and heavier than it should have been.

I've got some sort of stomach virus and I am extremely dehydrated and worn down today. By the time I trained today, I weighed 6 lbs less today than yesterday at the same time, and it's getting worse. I finally figured out what was wrong last night when the symptoms really hit, and they haven't stopped. I got a slight reprieve this afternoon, and decided to take my chances in the gym. It did not go well. I was even weaker than yesterday.

    Leg press warm-up: 6 plates-25x2

    Back Squats-high bar
    45-10x2

    235x1
    235x1
    235x1

    Leg press: 12 plates -x35, 6 plates -x50

Still dehydrated and run down, but recovering slowly. I was shocked that I had any leg drive today at all. I fully expected to fail spectacularly at this.

I'm still suffering from that stomach virus and I fought dehydration all day, but this went decently enough. I was barely able to grind out the last rep, but all in all it was alright.

    155x1
    170x1
    180x1
    190-missed clean
    190-good clean, missed jerk
    190-good clean, no jerk attempt

    Clean Pulls:
    225-3x3

Today was the first day where I felt decent again. Dehydration issue seems under control. And I didn't have any real side effects. But I was very stiff. It took a long barbell warm-up to get moving.

Cleans felt strong, but I was jumping backward on every rep, quite a bit. It has been a long time since this was an issue. On one rep I didn't realize I was near the edge of the platform and almost stepped off backwards. I'm not sure where this came from.

I also managed to hit myself in the throat and choke myself on every rep. It made jerks difficult.

The only thing I managed to get correct were the clean pulls, which were smooth and felt decent. Now if only I could actually clean.

    Front Squats-Paused

    45-10x2
    95x1
    115x1

    155x1
    175x1
    195x1
    195x1
    195x1

These were incredibly difficult. I almost failed each rep. It hasn't been that long since I front squatted, these shouldn't have been this hard.
