Thread: Fluff - favourite lifters who "didn't fit" their weight classes

    Going back a ways with this one. Bunyami Sudas, who lifted for Turkey in the late 90s into the mid 00s. He looked relatively slim as a 94kg lifter, put on some muscle at 105kg, and then got reaaaaaaallly fat as a SHW. He wasn't a tall guy either, he ended up weighting 300+ at under 6 feet I guess.

    Beating a dead horse, but: too many women at 87/90, they don't have the height or frame.

    Agree, though I'd think that many are simply there to improve their placings (instead of competing at 76/75), rather than maximising their individual performance relative to bodyweight. Same deal with competing in non-Olympic classes for Robi points.

    Countries would want to have lifters across multiple categories as well, provided they're not at 1+1.


    Both fairly obvious points but I'm sure this has been discussed before.
