    Weight: 225lbs

I got very little sleep and it's 28° in my garage gym. I'm stiff, sore, and feeling run down again. I'm hoping it's just allergies and drainage, but I'm not sure.

    Snatch+hang snatch(light):
    bar warm-up
    95x2
    115x2
    135x2

These felt heavy. And I've got to work on my hang snatch. I'm getting way out of position and bumping the bar forward away from me in the hang, making me jump forward. Thats something I haven't done in a long time from the floor.

    Clean&Jerk(heavy):
    bar warm-up
    135x1
    155x1
    175x1
    195x1
    210x1
    220-miss clean
    .
    230-miss clean

    Cleans- 0/1
    Jerks-* n/a

I had stop. This is where the illness and fatigue really hit me. These cleans were good pulls, good smooth catches, no crashing, I just couldn't hold position in the bottom. I'm exhausted, sucking air, shaky. I should have stayed in bed and rested.

    No attempts at squatting.

I decided to put these together today and rest Sunday and Monday.

    Clean&Press(5/5/5):
    45-10×2
    65x5
    85x5
    100x5
    115x5
    130×10

These started out tough. Skipping a week always makes it worse. But the last set was perfect. 10 solid reps. Its the 1st time I've hit double digits in any of my sets. I'm very happy with this.

    Deadlift (5/5/5):
    135x5
    185x5
    230x5
    267.5x5
    302.5x5

I did not use the clean setup this time. I used a powerlifting setup. It felt really awkward. I hadn't used that stance or grip in a while. I think I'll go back to what I was doing.

    No accessory work.

    Torokhity Gang Program

    Week 1

    Tuesday 01-10-2017

    Weight: 226lbs

    Muscle Snatch+Overhead Squat
    65 - 4 ×2
    80 - 4 ×3

    SnatchPull+Hang Snatch
    100 - 1+2 ×2
    117.5 - 1+2 ×2
    137.5 - 1+2 ×3

    Front Squat+Jerk
    120 - 2+2 ×2
    145 - 2+2 ×2
    170 - 2+2 ×2

Sucking wind badly. I'm far too used to doing single reps. Even this light weight wore me out. It has become obvious exactly how out of shape I am. Hopefully in 8 weeks, I'll be slightly less out of shape.

The only issue I had other than conditioning was that my elbows hurt in the front rack position. That's probably from doing very few front squats in the last several months. I'll have to work on warming them up more and work on flexibility.

    Wednesday 01-11-2017:

    Bench Press 3/3/3+

    45-20×2
    95x10
    115x5
    135x5
    150x3
    172.5x3
    195x10

Training was sort of an after thought today. I did it in between chores around the house and garage. Still hit my target.

No accessory work. Cutting back to basics for the slow lifts through this program.

    Thursday 01-12-2017:

    Hang Cleans
    120 - 3×2
    145 × 3
    170 - 3×3

    Push Press
    120 - 3×2
    145 - 3×3

    Clean Pulls
    145*** x 3
    170*** - 3×3
    192.5 - 3×2
    205*** x 3

Very little sleep. Up all night with allergies, sneezing, drainage, etc. Sucking wind again.

Awkward from the hang, but it smoothed out as I went.

Push Presses were awkward feeling, but easy weight. I could have strict pressed these weights. The movement felt foreign. I kept wanting to jerk once the legs moved.

Clean Pulls were tiring but felt solid.

Overall a good session, especially considering how I feel. It went faster than I anticipated.

Neck was stiff. It made these a little harder, but I got 8 solid reps.

    Saturday 01-14-2017:

    Power Snatch
    100- 3×2
    117.5 - 2×2
    137.5 - 2×4

    Snatch Pulls+Hang Snatch Pulls
    117.5 - 1+2
    137.5 - 1+2 ×2
    157.5 - 1+2
    167.5 - 1+2 ×4

    Back Squat
    162.5 x 4
    195 - 4×2
    227.5 × 4
    242.5 x 4
    260 - 4×4

Head pounding from sinus pressure. I didn't feel bad until I started moving, or I would have taken something for it.

Power snatches were solid and relatively easy.

Snatch pulls & hang pulls were tiring but solid.

Squats nearly killed me. My head feels like it's going to explode. I really didn't think I could make this workout. Every rep was a miracle. In completely out of condition for squats, and today was a real wake-up call.

This took a lot longer than I imagined it would. I'm glad I did this on a weekend. No way I could have done this before work in the morning. I needed a very long time between squats. Recovery is going to be hard. My legs are shaking.

    Deadlift 3/3/3+
    135x3
    185x3
    225x3
    250x3
    285x3
    320x5

I had very little left for these. Yesterday wore me out. I debated all day whether I should try them or not. I managed 5 fast solid reps, but I'm spent.

    No accessory work.

    Week 2

    Tuesday 01-17-2017:

    Weight: 225.1lbs

    Clean+Front Squat+Jerk
    120 - 2+2+2 ×2
    145 - 2+1+2 ×2
    170 - 2+1+2 ×3

    Clean Pull
    145**** x 3
    170**** x 3
    192.5* -3×3
    205**** x 3
    217.5. -2×2

    Front Squat
    120**** x 3
    145**** - 3×2
    170**** - 3×2
    192.5* - 3×2

Felt pretty good coming in, but my legs immediately felt Saturday's session.

Cleans/front squats/jerks went well. Crisp and clean lifts.

Clean pulls went well except that a glute kept tightening up and making life difficult. I had to stop and roll my back, glutes, and hamstrings again.

Front squats went well enough, except that glute was tight again. My legs feel like jelly now. These are the first front squats I've done in several months.

I had 10 in me, but they were slowing down, so I stopped.
