    Testing out a new gym with slevv. Not bad. Staff guy was weird about chalk, despite talk of a "strong powerlifting community".
    Haven't done hang cleans in a while.
    I don't think they're the answer with regards to fixing my current clean issues.
    I think either block cleans, or cleans from the floor with an emphasis on keeping heels down longer and finishing the pull. I think the cue "keep heels down" will promote better hip/knee positioning. Possible slightly narrower stance with a little more foot angle as well.

    Gym PR for snatch (previously 225, done at ~15 lbs higher bwt). Most I've snatched at sub-200 bwt, etc. All-time PR coming soon!
    Planned paused FS but replaced with cnj from pins. I think it's more useful at this particular moment. As slevv pointed out, FS (esp. pause FS) is decently high relative to current clean, so more direct work in clean probably more pertinent. Quite a bit of squat work yesterday anyway. Focussed on catching vertical and coming immediately out of the hole, did ok with this.
    Deficit snatch deadlift quite tiring, but imo this is still one of the most valuable strength-building accessory for me at the moment.

    Good clean day. Combination of figuring out a mistake I was making in my set-up/pull (shout out to slevv) and being a little stronger lately.
    290 cnj was close.
    Took a video of my last clean. Lots of room! 300 currently in the tank imo.
