The HMA is a project I started last year as an answer for when my clients (who have 24/7 access to my gym) come in to do there program and there is an exercise in their workout they are not familiar with. Previously what most people would do, is search the exercise on youtube. This presents several distinct problems however:
- There is a ton of poor instruction on YouTube
- Every coach has their own training language, so sometimes it's difficult to find the variation I'm referring to
- A lot of videos are extremely long with overly detailed breakdowns of the movement
That's when I decided to create the HMA. We are going to feature to types of videos: "Snapshots" and "Breakdowns." A snap shot is exactly what it sounds like, a brief demo of the video. A lot of times people may be familiar with an exercise but forget its name, or know it by a different name, and they just need to see the exercise I'm referring to. The snapshots are 60 seconds or less, and give an extremely short list of common errors at the end of the video. The breakdowns will be more in depth analysis of each exercise.
This is a huge undertaking and will end up being literally thousands of videos. Currently we've filmed and edited about 250 videos, and we're adding more weekly. Because this is such a big project, I am trying to monetize it to try to at least compensate for the amount of time and money I'm pouring into this project. With that said, I will be releasing some of the videos for free. Below is an example of such videos.
