    I do power muscle snatches because I can’t snatch and can’t do a decent version of a power snatch, but I do what I can and like the explosiveness the movement trains.

    Bench will remain my nemesis unless I decide to get my shoulders fixed, but surgery is a zero sum gain at my age and rehab/prefab and limited ROM lifts seems the better course of action for the time being

    Haven’t DL’d in a long time...the snatch loosened me up sufficiently and glad I could lift a decent weight without gambling too much.

    Vacationing at Newport Beach

    Loose sand beach run/walk
    5 min run/5 min walk for 25 min up
    2 min run/5 min walk back on average for the way back
    Total almost 60 minutes

    Will mostly do alot of walking and bike riding next week.

    Back from vacation. Didn’t walk and bike as much as I intended, but had lots of time with nuclear and extended family, so all is good. Moved my rower from the garage to a spare room in my house with a big TV and will make rowing more of a priority going forward. It’s typically about 100 degrees in my garage during the summer, so the thought of doing cardio in those conditions is a non-starter. I need to lean out a bit and loose some belly fat. Today was just a row...nothing too hard but the first unbroken 5K I’ve done in a while
