    De-load week wasn't as restful and relaxing as I had hoped. I worked a lot, and at some point developed a pinch/impingement in my hip, that I haven't been able to work out. It did not get better through stretching and weight training.

    I experimented with doing my press after doing my snatches again, to see how it went. I did not like it. I think I'll go back to pressing after squatting. My shoulders were too fatigued to press very well

    I was struggled today. I didn't eat well yesterday or today, and I didn't sleep well last night. I was excited to squat again, but had one of the most difficult sessions I've had in a while. I barely made my reps on the last set. Back-off sets weren't much better.

    This was all I had in me today. My legs and my will to live were destroyed by squats on Wednesday. I cancelled back-off deadlifts because my back was exhausted. I did some lat work for volume.

    I didn't feel too bad coming into this session. I got the first rep on the squat, and it was a little slow, but not too bad. Then I almost blacked out on the second rep and had to dump it. I decided to just be done with squats for today. I'll give it another shot next week, and then decide how to proceed if things go badly again.

    After one of the longest working days of the year, I came home tonight to try and train. Squats felt decent enough to start and I thought I'd get the last one, but I got out of the groove and couldn't recover. I'll do the same squat cycle over again and see how it goes. The press was a non-starter. They felt heavy to start and just got worse.
