Don't know the reasons for the azeris and bulgarians being out,but with the exception of Alba Sanchez (55kg), the others were not on the selected team by the spanish federation. I also wonder why Mart Seim (EST) is out?

Since Eurosport now flags YT uploads I bought their coverage for a month and it works surprisingly well both on desktop and mobile.

I think he's been on and off injured for awhile now.

The British girls I'm keen to see as well.
I didn't see ANY male lifters from England. Nor did I see that Noorin or Jenny Tong (which kinda makes sense since Zoe is going as a 59).

The venue and effects package is visually very impressive.

I guess the Russians are buying their way back into the sport.

BWL decided to only send the lifters that had a chance of qualifying for Tokyo and hence would benefit from competing, so only Zoe, Sarah, and the two Emilys. Reason cited was Covid and health concerns for all those travelling and to reduce the risk by only taking a small team, or it could have been cost (which I deem more likely)

Lydia Valentin is out, gastroenteritis is the culprit, according to the Spanish Federation
