    .
Presumably because the returning athletes are still in quarantine or managed isolation?

Correct and for one month, hence the dates overlap.

    Liu Weijian 142/176/318
    Xiang Shulin 138/180/318
    Wang Zhong 140/175/315

Rather low snatch results and nobody close to Junior or Youth records, at least in the A group.

    Chinese Nationals today:

    M81
    Xiang Feiyang 165/200/365
    Luo Chongyang 161/195/356
    Liu Huanhua 160/195/355

    ---
M89 had mediocre attendance and results and was won with 160/190/350.

    ---
The entry totals for the last 4 male categories (96 to 109+) are quite low so it's unlikely I make another post for them, I'll just edit in the winning total for posterity.

    edit:

    M96 - 165/205/370
    M102 - 162/195/357
    M109 - 177/213/390
    M109+ 186/221/407

If anyone remembers Alexey Lovchev, he won the Russian nationals this week with 192/232/424 - his highest result after his suspension which ended in 2019. He previously said he still wants to compete in the Olympics.

Interestingly if you look at his basic strength exercise (squats/pulls) numbers he is still very strong however his classic lifts have taken a dive since the stricter testing in Russia. It's also quite a contrast between to what's happening in Georgia. Would be interesting to see Lovchev's numbers in the Georgia setup and vice versa for Lasha in the Russian setup.

He mentioned on his Instagram that he had two surgeries on the triceps tendons, so he couldn't be at his best.

Elbow injury and surgery will do it. Similar to why Toshiki's results are lacklustre in the lifts that matter.

I don't think the removal or reduction of drugs is entirely responsible for his drop in performance if the elbow injury is there. I would have expected a greater drop in the strength lifts than the classic lifts had it been down purely to drugs.
